Studying in Australia is very popular with young people from around the world. More than 600,000 students from abroad study in schools, colleges and universities of the Green Continent, which is almost 3% of the total population of the state.   • certificate of successful passing of the English language proficiency exam (at least 6 points on the IELTS testing system or 550 points on the TOEFL system);
  • motivation letter and recommendations from the previous place of study.

Applicants entering universities in Australia after completing the first year of universities and institutes in the CIS countries must additionally submit an academic certificate indicating the disciplines studied and the grades received.

The Australian higher education system includes:

  • Universities providing academic education;
  • TAFE colleges that train specialists in the technical field.

To enter Australian universities, you do not need to take exams. Enrollment is based on the rating score indicated in the certificate of full secondary education. The higher it is, the more chances the applicant has to continue studying at a prestigious educational institution.

The Australian academic degree system consists of several levels:

  1. Bachelor (Bachelor). To obtain this degree, you must complete a three-year educational course at a university or college.
  2. Bachelor with Honors (Bachelor with honors). It is awarded after four years of study at colleges and universities.
  3. Master (Master). It will require additional training for one or two years and project protection. Holders of this degree have the right to engage in teaching activities.
  4. Doctor (Doctor). Postgraduate education lasting at least three years, which ends with the mandatory defense of the dissertation. You can get this degree only at the university.

In some areas, the training lasts longer. Thus, obtaining a bachelor's degree from a future engineer will take four years, and from a doctor or veterinarian — at least five years.

Students of Australian universities form their own curriculum. It usually includes the study of 4-8 disciplines and takes at least 40 hours a week. Exams on the subjects passed are held in the middle of the year.
